Perth

This is my impression of the city where I live. I wanted to have the War Memorial in King's Park as the centre focus of the painting and overlooking the city. I painted in my naive style and included landmarks and features of the city that came to my mind. The painting is bright and colourful showing the clear light of the blue sky over Perth.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
