Artwork Description

This painting is my impression of a new suburb in an Australian city. I wanted to show the common retailers you see in all new suburbs, the houses and the predominance of cars. It is a bright, busy and colourful image. I painted it in my naive style.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
