I painted this Sunday scene after seeing a cricket match in a local park on a sunny ,summer Sunday. It struck me as relaxing and peaceful and I liked the contrast of the green grass and the white uniforms of the cricket players.
I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
