This painting was inspired by seeing tennis players at a local tennis club on a Saturday. I like the contrast between the green grass of the lawn and the white of the players uniforms. It is a typical Australian scene on a Saturday in the summer. I painted the picture in my naive style. It is a calm and peaceful painting.
I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
