Artwork Description

This is my impression of an Australian beach on a hot, summer day. I painted the vibrant colours of the umbrellas and shades which contrast well with the white sand and the blue sea. I painted the brown bodies of the sun worshipers. It is a bright and cheerful summer scene.

I am largely a self taught artist. Drawing and Painting have followed me through my life. I am influenced by Hockney, Matisse, Katz and Uta Wohlfarth amongst others. I hope to get as many of my paintings on walls as I can. I paint places, things and people around me and images my mind captures. My style is simplistic and naive.
