Artwork Description

Quiet Cove captures the beauty of the morning sun lighting up the cliffs and tranquil waters at Dodges Ferry. Just a short drive from Hobart, Dodges Ferry is a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike. There are beaches for swimming and surfing, cliff and beach walks. The light streaming across the water was an inspiring sight this day.

This is an original oil painting and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. I do not produce prints or reproductions, so your painting is an original “one of a kind”.

"Quiet Cove" is framed, ready to hang. The frame is a modern style white timber frame to suit any decor. Framed size: 44cm W x 29cm H

Artist Bio

“I have enjoyed the beauty of art for as long as I can remember. I came to creating art as the family grew and I had more time to explore the wonderful creative journey that art is”.

Having lived throughout Victoria and Queensland, Peter now lives in Hobart, Tasmania, painting mainly landscapes and seascapes. Peter works with a palette knife and brush, using highest quality luscious oil paints to create texture and feeling in his paintings.

Most of Peter’s paintings are professionally framed to suit the painting and ready to hang. Some paintings are unframed ready for you to choose your own frame. Each painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Peter does not produce prints or reproductions. Each painting is an original “one of a kind”.

During travels through Europe Peter attended workshops in France – with Michel Cribelier at Giverney and Frederique Leclercq at Gisors, and as a mature age student, completed a Diploma of Visual Arts.

“To me painting is all about capturing the light. Today’s landscape has become saturated with the signs of our modern society – and I want to remind us all of the beauty of nature we are often destroying or too busy to enjoy”.
