Still life painting of marbles, spinning top and gyroscope in oil on copper plate. Gyroscopes are cool, and are in everything from aeroplanes to space stations. The other thing that is really cool is how they demonstrate the precession of spinning objects such as wheels, and the impact on steering on a bicycle or a motorcycle. I just love how these simple toys can demonstrate such fascinating scientific principles.

And of course, they were some of my own favourite toys that I have hung on to ever since.

Signed by attaching an RFID tag on the rear readable with a mobile or tablet. Also has a partial thumbprint across tag and support in burnt umber.
