Artwork Description

Photograph on paper

Signed certificate of authenticity.

My creative journey into photographic abstraction has evolved over time, shifting from an early exploration of geometric shapes and paper to a deep fascination with the organic movement of flowers. My current body of work captures these delicate, fleeting forms in motion, highlighting both their natural beauty and ephemeral energy. Working in my studio in Lismore, I use long exposures combined with multiple flash bursts to uncover the intricate details of each bloom. This technique allows me to not only preserve the essence of the flowers but also explore the invisible trails of their movement, revealing a dance between light, form, and time. Through these images, I invite viewers to see beyond the static beauty often associated with flowers, offering instead a glimpse into the rhythms and gestures that exist just beyond the threshold of perception. Capturing the momentary convergence of stillness and motion, chaos and order. Each piece is an invitation to see the fragile, transient beauty of the world around us.
