En plein air oil painting of the iconic Anglesea Boat Sheds. Influenced by early Australian tonal impressionists.
Ray enjoys tonal impressionist oil painting, the study of light, in the tradition of early Australian artists (Meldrum et al). He challenges himself to keeping it simple and painterly. Ray is a fellow and signatory member of the Victorian Artists Society and his works appear in collections in Victoria, interstate and internationally. He has also won numerous awards.
