Still Life painted from life in a modern tonal impressionist manner of an assortment of stacked lemons against a glass carafe. Utilised a large mirror to enhance the subject by the creation of reflections.

Ray enjoys tonal impressionist oil painting, the study of light, in the tradition of early Australian artists (Meldrum et al). He challenges himself to keeping it simple and painterly.
Ray is a fellow and signatory member of the Victorian Artists Society and his works appear in collections in Victoria, interstate and internationally. He has also won numerous awards.
