Artwork Description

- Framed in wood with a coating of fine white gesso
- Wide (9 cm) mat board on each side to allow the artwork to breathe and expand
- Ready to hang (will seal with framers tape to keep dust out prior to shipping)
- Pastel, gouache and graphite pencil on cotton paper, 2021.

This artwork, of a young girl and her make-believe sugar glider, is part of a series of works called IMAGINARY FRIENDS. The paintings and drawings indulge my ongoing love of animals and my life-long desire to connect with them as well as exploring the way in which art can allow both the creator and the viewer to experience a momentary insight of a reality longed for but never truly realised.
