This composition, combining imagery of nature/home, serves as a meditation on the re-prioritisation of ancient social practices, going forth amid isolation. The importance of community has been the most striking realisation, for me, during this pandemic.
The author of Ecclesiastes declares that there is “nothing new under the sun” while Isaiah prophecies that God is “doing a new thing”, as illustrated through the idea of existing, disparate elements (rivers/desert) bound together.
