Artwork Description

The artwork depicts two horses in a natural landscape, standing on an open plain, under a wide, expansive sky, in afternoon light. Earth tones dominate the color palette, with the grass appearing in shades of muted greens and yellows, harmonizing with the blues and purples of the distant mountains, which add depth to the scene.

Artist’s Statement

What inspires me are, those fleeting moments of patterns of light.

I believe I am mainly influenced by tonalism and impressionism. For the most part, what concerns me the most when creating a work of art is, good color, believable light quality, and making strong, interesting value proportions. I apply these principles to all my subjects, whether they are realistic portrayals or non-representative works.
