Part of everyday life forever yet difficult to paint.
So many changes in colour and value. Searching for inspiration I came across some proverbs of which I just loved the Yiddish approach.
"Love is like butter- it's good with bread"
and
"Give me, Lord, my daily bread. I will get my own brandy".
Like bread, so basic.
There is a light bracing frame on the rear.

Artist Bio
Rob Sinclair, a artist based in Brisbane, has been passionately engaged in painting for over 40 years. His artistic journey has been shaped by various mentors, including Bill Williams in Melbourne and Sally Mehdizadeh in Brisbane. Rob’s work spans a diverse range of subjects, from marine settings to still life, and from the outback to the rainforest. His love for strong colors is evident in his vibrant compositions.
Rob primarily works on timber panel, appreciating its stiffness and precision for brushstrokes. Although canvas occasionally finds its way into his smaller paintings, timber remains his preferred medium. His artistic philosophy centers around capturing the transformation from reality to oil, emphasizing simplicity over photorealism.
His portfolio showcases a rich tapestry of creativity, and you’ll find a variety of pieces that resonate with different themes and emotions. Whether it’s the serene beauty of the Brisbane River or other captivating scenes, Rob’s work invites viewers to appreciate the world through his unique artistic lens.
