Highly collectible and internationally acclaimed Australian artist Robert Hagan is best known for his landscape and wildlife impressionist paintings, which have become even more popular in his later years. He gained international recognition for his vibrant and expressive style, often depicting scenes from the Australian outback, coastal areas, and wildlife. Hagan's work has been exhibited and collected internationally, and he is regarded as a prominent figure in the world of contemporary Australian art.
Robert was born in 1947 in Murwillumbah, NSW and graduated with an Arts degree in Economics and a Diploma in Education from Newcastle University. During his Jackeroo days, Robert developed an intimate understanding of his subject. As a result, he skillfully captures the serene Australian outback and muster action.
Robert's artistic influence spans the United Kingdom and America, with studios in Suffolk, San Diego, Southport, and Pattaya. His international acclaim took root in Perth, where a sell-out exhibition and encounters with the America's Cup Team marked the beginning of his rise. Relocating to San Diego in 1991, he painted the American Cup battle and published books on Australian paintings. Robert's paintings have been featured in the International Fine Art Collector (1992 and 1994). Robert's achievements include the America's Cup International Artist Gold Medal, the Mystic Yachting Award (1995), and victory in the Mystic International maritime painting competition. He established a strong presence in U.S. galleries, conducted seminars, judged art competitions, and appeared on TV talk shows. Additionally, Robert ventured into filmmaking, producing the Discovery HD TV Series 'A Splash of Colour.'
