Loved the reflected light off these coloured bottles and their setting on the shelf with all its simplicity and complexity together. Objects of everyday life appeal to me for so many reasons. Their shapes, colours, light and use too that can all create an interesting world of everyday life.

Original Artwork's Description
Artist Bio
I am passionate about nature with all the design elements and contours found there and is a driving force for subject inspiration.
I work in multiple mediums, oils, pastel, acrylic, mixed media and watercolour but I would say my favourite is watercolour. I take part in exhibitions, solo and group shows and have been the recipient of many awards. Travelling has helped me discover the beauty of the world and I have found lots of inspiration for painting by immersing myself in different cultures and sights.
I often sketch or paint outside then usually complete the painting of the scene in my studio. I have a passion for portrait and figure painting and I first painted in pastel, then oil, then watercolour for portraits using live models at the Adelaide Art Society from about age 15. I prefer working from life with most subjects where possible.
Over my career, I have been employed as an illustrator at the SA Museum, SA Uni, and now I tutor for art groups, privately and I enjoy creating customised works for people.
A highlight of my career I was filmed painting an art demonstration of a still life subject and interviewed for the Australian TV art program "Colour in Your Life.". This was released onto Youtube, TV and a number of other platforms on April 3 2020. Enjoyed the experience immensely.
I believe in developing my art style to encompass various feelings, moods, and experiences and often I explore other genres like abstract. I particularly like to paint the same scene in different mediums or techniques. I do have a strong belief that art can be a spiritual experience for the artist and the viewer.
