There is more to this painting than meets the eye, as the title indicates. I walk past this location every day on my afternoon walk. The strong western sun creates a vivid lime green shimmer on the grass and makes the shadows strong and angular. The lovely green foliage hides the top of the football players mural in the middle distance. In front of the mural are some real people having a picnic and further towards the front is puppy on the loose chasing a magpie.
