Artwork Description

The ongoing saga of Mrs Schultz, but this time combined with the Cartoonist. Which may lead to problems with depiction, format and selected colourisation. Philip Guston did it best. A commentary on Society through the cartoon rectangle. Or even square or triangle. Because it doesn’t matter what the format is, the importance lies in what is happening outside the pen and ink world…….

Artist Bio

Diploma Fine Arts, Prahran CAE 1976 under Jeff Makin and Vic Majzner. Postgraduate Diploma, 1982 at Philip Institute of Technology under Betty Churcher. 1977....Artist in Residence at The Karolyi Foundation, Vence France (Through the Australia Council). A year spent travelling in Europe. 2017.....Set up The Left Bank Studio/Gallery in Castlemaine, Victoria. One person shows, 2019 and 2022. Sellout Show in 2024.
