Artwork Description

Completing the Quadriptych .Making for. Apart from the imagery, what stuck in my mind is ……ing. No, not the bank.
From the top left, clockwise is number 1 Simpson’s Gap: Agapping. First saw it 20+ years ago and was fascinated by the West McDonnell Ranges.
Number 2, top right is Inferno: Expanding. My mind still dwells on the Harcourt Fires from this year when some people lost everything. Gone are the days of once in twenty years or once in a hundred. The Planet is saying…..ENOUGH ! aka….Nepal. Flooding. Europe. Smouldering, then Drying.
Number 3, bottom right is Storm : Descending. Another part of the equation. We used to have four seasons. Now, we have two. The Drowning Season and The Burning Season……..ing.
Number 4, bottom left is Elevation : Exaggerating. Now I readily admit that the land never gets above itself. But the human element often tries. So this is about a landscape that tries to be greater than what it is. It contains a couple of empty voice balloons, so politicians must be involved somehow, somewhere, sometime.
Ah, the human condition fascinates me. Or maybe even fascinat…..ing. VisualisING ! Just four chocolate box covers for the boxes of chocolates.
Such sweetness !
