POLAROID : Despite The Forensic Wall of Failures and Near Misses, Edwin Land Saw a Glimmer of Hope.

The development of instant Polaroid photography must have been long. And painful. Failures after failure followed by partial success. Bits of images akin to the original stages of photography. A bit like a detective story where the clues are stuck up on the wall. Grouped and moved as the instinct cuts in. And justice is finally served by the clear definition of what exists before the eyes.

Diploma Fine Arts, Prahran CAE 1976 under Jeff Makin and Vic Majzner. Postgraduate Diploma, 1982 at Philip Institute of Technology under Betty Churcher. 1977....Artist in Residence at The Karolyi Foundation, Vence France (Through the Australia Council). A year spent travelling in Europe. 2017.....Set up The Left Bank Studio/Gallery in Castlemaine, Victoria. One person shows, 2019 and 2022. Sellout Show in 2024.
