Artwork Description

You may remember the original Polaroid cameras that gave you an instant photo from years ago. This is a vividly coloured commentary on the concept of illusion and reality. Where the Polaroids are vague, lacking in detail……ephemeral. Balance that against the painting / reality. The Landscape stands out in glorious colour. Waiting for the chemical,process of the photos to define its presence. BUT…..will that occur……..

Artist Bio

Diploma Fine Arts, Prahran CAE 1976 under Jeff Makin and Vic Majzner. Postgraduate Diploma, 1982 at Philip Institute of Technology under Betty Churcher. 1977....Artist in Residence at The Karolyi Foundation, Vence France (Through the Australia Council). A year spent travelling in Europe. 2017.....Set up The Left Bank Studio/Gallery in Castlemaine, Victoria. One person shows, 2019 and 2022. Sellout Show in 2024.
