Shhhhh. Just Quietly. I Love My Country

I have never been one for multiples of the Nation’s flags. Never liked putting my hand on my heart at times of Remembrance. I stumble over the National Anthem that should have been Waltzing Matilda. But. I LOVE my Country. The length and breadth of the Landscape. The five mile creeks. Deserts, coastline and beauty of the beaches. The Corroboree lands and the Birthing Trees. The endless distances and searing light.
So, how do I depict the reality and the intangible. Take 16 notebook pages and try to summarise where I might have been and YOU may be going. I wish you well on your journey.

Postgraduate Diploma, 1982 at Philip Institute of Technology under Betty Churcher. 1977....Artist in Residence at The Karolyi Foundation, Vence France (Through the Australia Council).
