Artwork Description

The Great Dividing Range has always fascinated me. Separating the green and blue of the Coast from the ochres and dry of the Outback. Over the years, I’ve painted an ongoing series of pieces trying to depict the relationship of the Land and the Climate. ‘Course, all,of my kids had a touch of red in their genes, so maybe it should be renamed………The GREAT DIVIDING RANGA !

Postgraduate Diploma, 1982 at Philip Institute of Technology under Betty Churcher. 1977....Artist in Residence at The Karolyi Foundation, Vence France (Through the Australia Council). A year spent travelling in Europe. 2017.....Set up The Left Bank Studio/Gallery in Castlemaine, Victoria. One person shows, 2019 and 2022. Sellout Show in 2024.
