Aurelia

‘Aurelia’ is a part of my collection of diptychs.

This painting is inspired by the colors of Australia .. deep sienna, gum tree beige, soft pink of the gum flowers, sandy ochre and a deep blue reminiscent of summer nights.

Through a palette of bold colors and fluid forms, this collection strives to evoke an emotional resonance, inviting viewers to embark on their unique visual odyssey.

The artwork has my full signature at the back. It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Each painting is 90x120cm excluding frame and 93x123cm including the floating frame.

Roopali Arora is an abstract artist based in Sydney. By layering gestural marks with textures, drips and washes, she creates depth and movement in her large-scale abstracts. She has exhibited with many galleries and her art has also been curated for multiple commercial establishments in Australia.

“ I embrace the tension between control and chaos, allowing spontaneity to drive my artistic decisions. My art is inspired by various genres, from Western expressionism to the rich folk art practices of my birthplace in India. These two visual worlds, though distant in context, share a rawness, a directness, and a deep trust in instinct over intellect. Folk art has long inspired me for its honesty—for how it preserves memory, place, and identity. I draw on its use of color, visual rhythm and embracing imperfection. My work is characterised by its ‘energy’ and ‘movement’ and a minimalist approach. I work primarily in acrylic and charcoal.”
