Artwork Description

In our art community there are times we create 'wildings' which are bases (on paper or canvas) which are built up over countless intuitive layers and are intended to be used, at some point, as bases for future art works. At the time of creating our willings there is no plan on what may be painted or drawn over each one in the future. During creation there is no thought other than being wild and free with the intuitive layers, colours and design.

Beautiful was amongst my library of wildlings As I really liked the unique minimal colour palette I had chosen for this base, along with the the understated feel of the wildling I deemed that Beautiful was a completed artwork as is.

Beautiful would bring a touch of calm, lightness and beauty to any room or space.

As Beautiful requires framing my artwork galley provides in situ examples of how Beautiful could look framed and hung.

My work is organic therefore I have not trimmed the edges of my watercolour paper sheet however you could choose to have her trimmed or her edges covered during your chosen framing method or left exposed.

Please note that in situ photos are for display purposes only and may not be to scale.

Artist Bio

Rosemary’s artistic journey is a delightful adventure that showcases the power of creativity. From a young age, she found joy in artistic pursuits, but it wasn’t until her retirement, amid the quiet of countless cover lockdowns, that she truly reconnected with her passion for art.

With an eclectic style that celebrates whimsy, Rosemary’s paintings are a vibrant reflection of her playful spirit. Rather than sticking to a rigid plan, she lets her creativity flow, allowing each piece to reveal itself organically. As she layers colors and textures, her work takes on a life of its own, resulting in captivating pieces that invite viewers into her imaginative world.

Originally working solely with acrylics on canvas, Rosemary has since embraced an exciting variety of materials. Now, her mixed media artworks bring together paint, ink, soft pastels, oil sticks, and collage, transforming her creations into multidimensional expressions of her vision.

At the heart of Rosemary’s art is a simple yet powerful motivation: it makes her happy! The joy she feels while painting shines through in every piece she creates, and sharing that joy with others has ignited her passion even further. With numerous pieces sold and a growing audience, Rosemary is driven to continue creating and sharing her artwork, ensuring that her vibrant imagination remains a central part of her life for years to come.
