Frog Happy - With Bamboo Fronds, Mixed Media

Recently I created a few intuitive layered bases with the view of using them as habitat bases for animals or little creatures. During the initial layering process I quickly knew a specific one would be used for a frog creation.

In subsequent layers, further paint, markings, sgraffito added creating further depth and texture along with the foliage and frog details to complete the vision that had grown in my imagination.

Happy has a very organic and minimalist look and feel even though there is a lot of soft detail in its many layers.

Framing required for for Happy Frog to hang therefore my artwork photos include examples of how this delightful creation could look framed and hung.
