Old dead trees can always be seen rising out of Lake Hume (Albury/Wodonga).
During times of lower water levels, especially periods of drought, the weir becomes a tree graveyard with countless stark trees rising out of her reduced depths, along her increased shoreline, or on temporary islands created by her her receding waters.
I used a few old Lake Hume photos for inspiration, along with my imagination, to create this surreal landscape using simplistic shapes and lines over my intuitive underpainting.
Ghost Trees finished off with a touch of fixative spray and varnish for protection.
This unique creation would add a touch of interest and stark beauty to your chosen space.
