Artwork Description

Lily & Snail inspired by backyard nature. Intuitive style layered base using acrylic ink, marking, glazes and different painting methods.

I rather like the raw, organic feel this piece has which is the opposite of the Calla Lily when you see this striking plant in person.

Felt the urge to add a snail and a few abstract leaf/flower markings in white ink pen. These late additions add interest and narrative.

I painted the rough border in sepia which flows with the rustic vibe and is included in the sizing..
The raw edges can be covered during your chosen framing process or embraced and left exposed.

As Lily & Snail requires framing to hang my artwork photos include in situ examples of how she could look framed and hung.

Please check dimensions as in situ photos are for display purposes only and may not be to scale.
