Monochrome Spring Delight

Spring season was the catalyst for the creation of this decorative artwork even though her palette gives this piece a frosty, snowy look and feel.

Her creation took countless layers of details applied over my intuitively painted underpainting leaving just a hint of her original base colours peeking through here and there. She was completed by adding a little dark foliage followed by a final layer of strategically placed white details with spray paint.

Monochrome Spring Delight invites the viewer to stop, step in closer to explore all her interesting markings which you are unable to see from afar. Her many white details bring simplicity, calmness and harmony to her busy layers.
