Artwork Description

Like many of my intuitive pieces, Pear x 2 began with the selection of one of my wild layered bases created by the application of numerous layers of paint, ink, mark marking, and sgraffito.

Using negative space painting technique my pears and plate started to appear and were developed with further layers of painting and glazes. Additional markings were the icing on the cake so to speak.

Pear x 2 is full of expression and texture. The numerous layers provide depth, interest, all stimulating the eye.

As this artwork requires framing my artwork photos included examples of how she could look framed and displayed. I have also included an example of Pears x 2 hung alongside Picnic Pears (sold separately).

In situ artwork images are for display purposes only and may not be to scale.

Dimensions of this unique creation include a rough .05 painted border which can be covered during your chosen framing method or left exposed for a added organic look and feel.

Artist Bio

Rosemary’s artistic journey is a delightful adventure that showcases the power of creativity. From a young age, she found joy in artistic pursuits, but it wasn’t until her retirement, amid the quiet of countless cover lockdowns, that she truly reconnected with her passion for art.

With an eclectic style that celebrates whimsy, Rosemary’s paintings are a vibrant reflection of her playful spirit. Rather than sticking to a rigid plan, she lets her creativity flow, allowing each piece to reveal itself organically. As she layers colors and textures, her work takes on a life of its own, resulting in captivating pieces that invite viewers into her imaginative world.

Originally working solely with acrylics on canvas, Rosemary has since embraced an exciting variety of materials. Now, her mixed media artworks bring together paint, ink, soft pastels, oil sticks, and collage, transforming her creations into multidimensional expressions of her vision.

At the heart of Rosemary’s art is a simple yet powerful motivation: it makes her happy! The joy she feels while painting shines through in every piece she creates, and sharing that joy with others has ignited her passion even further. With numerous pieces sold and a growing audience, Rosemary is driven to continue creating and sharing her artwork, ensuring that her vibrant imagination remains a central part of her life for years to come.
