Snow Owl Under The Moon started with one of my eclectic mixed media bases.

Layering white markings and details over my base before applying white paint, considering the gestural movement of my tree branches rather than its contours. I continued to create my branch details along with incorporating my snow owl and moon until I was satisfied with her harmonious world..

The acid free painted tissue paper collage pieces I added in the early base layers were quickly hidden by subsequent layers but still help provide texture and detail to this visual delight.

Up close this artwork offers a textured and slightly rustic look and feel however from afar she has a softer presence which offers the viewer an intriguing appeal in her contrasts.

Her unique blended layers provide visual delight for the mind and eye.

Canvas edges painted in crisp white.

Snow Owl Under The Moon finished off with a touch of fixative spray and varnish for protection.

Accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
