Original Artwork's Description

With thoughts of watery abstract scenes still flooding my imagination after completing my Waters Edge Diptych I quickly moved on to applying acrylic inks in abstract watery layers on two canvas sheets to create images evocative of watery landscapes.

My inspiration came from my imagination along with the feeling and flow of pouring, dripping, spraying water along with painting and using different tools to entice the different mediums to move in specific directions. I lost count of the number of layers I applied to each canvas sheet but I know that those layers helped create the many interesting details within each piece even though from afar these pieces look minimalistic.

Two light, bright and happy feel abstract paintings, cohesive in their colour palette, design and mood.

Both are 40.6 (W) x 50.8 (H) cm.

My work is organic therefore the dimensions of these paintings includes a rough 1 cm border which can be covered during your chosen framing method.

As they both require framing my artwork photos include pictures of how this pair could look framed and hung.

Please check dimensions, in-situ images for display purposes only and may not be to scale.
