These paintings are my responses to many hours spent walking through wild places along the River Dyarubbin, and it’s tributaries. Painted in a gestural style I aim to capture some of the mystery and beauty of these special places.

Creating my artwork is my way of honouring the natural places that helped me learn and grow and that have inspired a lifetime dedicated to the natural environment. This work begins in the bush, with these things: to look, to enjoy, to touch, smell and hear life around me, where I know it best, in the place where I grew up, on Sydney sandstone country, on unceded Garigal/Kuringai land.

I hold a Master of Art from UNSW Art & Design, and my work is informed by a background in biology.
