The Hill 3

I used to live on a hill that was once a cone volcano. The form of the hill and the idea of the processes of the earth continue to fascinate me. This is a motif I come back to regularly.

This is an original acrylic painting on a quality stretched canvas. D-rings and hanging cord are attached so that it is ready to hang.

Creating my artwork is my way of honouring the natural places that helped me learn and grow and that have inspired a lifetime dedicated to the natural environment. This work begins in the bush, with these things: to look, to enjoy, to touch, smell and hear life around me, where I know it best, in the place where I grew up, on Sydney sandstone country, on unceded Garigal/Kuringai land.

I hold a Master of Art from UNSW Art & Design, and my work is informed by a background in biology.
