Artwork Description

Original oil on canvas landscape painting stretched on a wooden frame.
During my travels along the North Atlantic Seaboard from Connecticut to Ontario, Canada, I was inspired to create an impressionistic etude. Rocks and pine trees over the ocean. Cloudy day in blue and grey colors. A plain air atmospheric study was finished in the studio. Impressionism. Yes, it is a Sunset and there are Mountains, and Snow Cap Mountain, and fluffy pink evening clouds.
The master-quality material has been used. Heavy impasto is built with brushes and pallet knives. Edges of the painting are covered with archival white linen tape for a clean contemporary look. No need for framing. It is ready to hang. Signed on the back.
A Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Ruslan Khais is a Philadelphia-based artist working predominantly in the genre of Abstract Landscape.
Not restricting himself to a single style, Khais freely moves into more representational or purely abstract works that, at times, merge into Surrealism. The French Impressionists and artists of the Hudson River School are his main influences and inspiration.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Khais has participated in numerous group shows and solo exhibitions. He's also received awards from the Philadelphia Sketch Club, PAFA Alumni Association, Berks County Art Alliance, Berman Museum, the Vermont Studio Center, and others. His work is also held in several corporate and private collections.
