Original acrylic painting on extra thick (no wrinkles) paper/card. For this work I am exploring and enjoying the interaction of colours and painterly marks. I am painting from observation initially to familiarise myself with the flower which was originally a Camellia, then allowing myself to go off on my own adventure without being constrained by what's in front of me. I adore this way of working because I am able to enter a flow state where I'm just swept up in the pure pleasure of applying paint to a surface. Colour is my drug!
This little work would make a lovely addition to the wall of your salon hang. It comes unframed, but if you'd like to receive it framed, please select the framing option when you check out.
I have included a mock up of another work painted at the same time in the same size and theme, ( also available on Bluethumb https://bluethumb.com.au/sally-browne/Artwork/falling-flowers-mint-2023) they look great hung together as a pair.
