Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

Large vibrant original watercolour painting on extra thick textured watercolour paper (no crinkling). Last February I was fortunate to travel to Hill End, NSW for a week-long painting excursion with The National Art School. I loved it! I don't leave the city much and had never been anywhere so remote in Australia. I spent hours with my paints staring at the landscape and taking it all in; the dappled light and strong shadows, red ochre colour of the soil, huge skies and the stunning clear, green Turon River where we set up our easels for the day. This large watercolour was painted at the river’s edge using paint diluted by the river water, which we also bathed in to cool down.”
Would make a beautiful statement on the wall of your Australian home. Please select the framing option at check out if you would like to receive this painting framed.
