Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

The crow is long recognised as an omen. This painting was part of a solo exhibition called "Contained" with reference to the Pandemic and how people coped with daily life. It depicts life carrying on as normal as possible while trying not to focus on the doom and gloom that is present on a daily basis. The flowers are the Aloe flower, which is a hardy plant that grows in tricky conditions, there ar branches of the resilient Gum tree and the graceful Magnolia Flower.

Flower in a wall vase.A red plate with the lettering Oui in orange. Underneath the plate there is a paw paw cut open. There is a greenish aqua colour that surounds the scene.A still life arrangement with yellow toned succulent cascading from a white ceramic vessel. A small pile of bowls set to one side with a small hummingbird looking over the scene. Small specks of floating lights rise in the background. This painting is very earthy in its tones with a focal point of light blue.Hand painted floral motif on tall ceramic vessels with assorted stems and succulents in each. This painting has a warmth to it. A calm hopeful promise that there is so co much more. This was part of my solo exhibition on Mount Tamborine called Midnight in the potting Shed.
