The flowers all look a bit like the sun, radiating light rather then reflecting it. There are red narrow petaled flowers that seem to have wilted a bit from the heat peaking out between the yellow alliums and chrysanthemums. The arrangement sits on a decoratively tiled off white surface. This tile gives the painting a mediterranean feel.
