My work as an abstract artist draws heavily from my Japanese heritage and the philosophy of wabi-sabi. I began discovering Wabi-Sabi’s deeper meaning while living overseas, seeing it as a way to embrace the beauty in imperfection and transience.
This journey of finding my own identity through art has shaped my approach, where subtle textures, earthy tones, and minimalism play a key role.
Each piece reflects not only the aesthetics of traditional Japanese pottery and glazing but also my connection to nature and the imperfect beauty of life itself.
Living abroad has only deepened my understanding of this philosophy, guiding me to create work that feels both personal and universal.
