Pink Paradise is a modern interpretation of the ocean.
It has gorgeous shades of pink, blues and aquas with many layers of mixed media to give textured effects.

I take regular walks to the beach often late in the afternoon just before sunset because the sky can be amazing colours at that time of day.
This was the inspiration for pink paradise as one day I was there at the beach and the sky was such a beautiful pink I came home and straight away laid down the base layers of colour to start building the painting.
Over the week I kept adding and subtracting until I believe I captured the beach and sky I saw that day.
To me the ocean and sky is never just blue it’s more than that and that’s why I love painting seascapes.
