Original Artwork's Description

I’ve decided to dedicate this painting to the amazing ‘Three Capes Walk’ I completed with three very good friends in 2025 in Tasmania. The trek was amazing, difficult, awesome, hard, beautiful, tough, enlightening, one of the best times I’ve had in so many different ways, we always find these things when travelling to a different environment. The painting gives a glimpse into the natural environment and the joy I encountered on the journey plus the loss incurred by venturing at all (you might see a dead guinea pig in the painting).
Only quality paints and varnishes are used in all my paintings the stretcher and frame was created by the awesome Southern Buoy

Artist Bio

I am a painter, using acrylic paints on stretched canvas. I paint with immediacy and fluidity allowing the emotions and memories to pour on to the canvas. I do not work from photographs or a master plan.

The health of the natural environment is extremely important to me and that is reflected in nearly all of my work. I paint landscapes as hardy, practical places that provide healthy habitats for flora and fauna, not as a pleasant view for humans. My view is that the natural environment does not exist for exploitation on any level. My work is a direct and immediate response to the destruction of the natural environment in the name of ‘progress’.

I am a prolific painter and have sold many works over the past 10 years to local and international buyers.

After previously enjoying beautiful studio space at @southernbuoy and @onshore_studios I am very pleased to announce my new studio is situated in my home at Waterview Drive Mount Martha, Victoria.
