Artist Bio

Serena Elle is a Sydney-based contemporary abstract artist and mum to a spirited seven-year-old. With a background in visual arts, she has developed a distinctive style defined by ethereal, earthy large-scale paintings and a restrained, minimalist palette.

Working in sun-bleached tones of sand, clay, and washed ochre, Serena creates spaces you can fall into - places that feel both familiar and like dreams you almost remember. Created as statement pieces for coastal, minimalist and design-led interiors, each work carries a sense of calm, depth and light.

Her work unfolds through subtle shifts; delicate washes, worn textures, and sgraffito markings that feel like traces of a hidden language just beneath the surface. Layers of pigment are built up and etched back, exposing fragments of earlier marks and colour beneath. Each piece carries an intentional rawness that makes the work feel alive.

Her work has been featured in editorial styling collaborations for House & Garden Australia and selected by leading interior designers and stylists for publication. She has exhibited in group shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and her paintings are held in private collections across Australia, the United States and Singapore.

Serena is currently developing a new body of work for upcoming exhibitions.
