After the Storm (Framed)

What remains after a storm? Do you feel relieved? Re-energised? A new sense of hope? I do. And after the rain has eased and a storm has passed over the coast is one of my favourite times to be alone and take it all in. The waters are still restless, the fine sand still wet on the surface (but dry as you sink into it with each footstep)...and the clouds! I love cloud formations and cloud gaze daily, but watching them recede after a storm over an ocean is a whole other level of breathtakingly beautiful. 

In my life, I faced many storms last year. and each time it passed by it seemed all too quick that another appeared out of nowhere, and I was left battling again. But each time it passed I was reminded of the light that broke through, the new hope that emerged, and that's what inspires me to keep facing whatever storm may be on the horizon this year.

This emotive seascape is framed in a Beech solid timber frame - a lighter colour to oak that won't age or discolour over time. It is satin varnished and will come with a COA.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
