Are We There Yet? (Framed)

How many times as parents have we heard this from our kids! So many trips to the coast with my kids when they were younger, and the "are we there yet?" usually started about 1/2 hour in of our 90 minute drive. Then again about an hour in...and about 15 minutes after that...and my response was always met with a disheartened "ohhh", until the "are we there yet?" was met with my "nearly!". Then they'd sit up straighter in their seats with their excited little faces peering out the car windows so as not to miss the first glimpse of the ocean. This textured coastal landscape reminded me of that "nearly" stage!

Created with palette knives on stretched canvas, this pretty artwork is framed in handcrafted solid Tas Oak. It is satin varnished, and will come with a COA.

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
