However daunting or overwhelming darkness may appear, it simply can't exist when light is present. Darkness can't help but release its stronghold when light breaks through. That's such a powerful reminder for me. No matter how dark things may appear, I choose to see that light as hope. Whether natural, physical, mental, or spiritual, light always triumphs darkness. There's hope and comfort in that for me. Breaking strongholds.
This deeply expressive seascape is a metaphor for the power of light over darkness...and for the breaking and release of personal strongholds that seek to hold us back. Like the breakers that crash over rocky shorelines, we persist, endure and grow stronger. We find hope in breaking strongholds.
This dramatic artwork is created with palette knives on 12 oz stretched polycotton, and is framed in a solid oak timber frame. It is satin varnished, and comes with a COA.
Thank you for pausing to view "Breaking Strongholds”. I hope it inspires and encourages all who see it.
NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.
