Artwork Description

"Some horizons are clear and certain. Others are hazy and wrapped in mist, asking us to trust the next step before we can see it.

This painting - with it's two figures small against the vastness of sea and sky - reflects the journey of walking side by side into the unknown, not overwhelmed, but discovering that courage is not about having all the answers, but simply being together.

Life will always hold changing tides, gathering storms, and seasons unexpected, but with love, a little faith, grace for each other, and trust in a greater purpose...facing whatever comes together means never having to walk the journey alone."

Created with palette knives on high grade artist quality canvas, this emotive artwork is framed in solid Oak and comes satin varnished. It will come with a COA with the artist statement written on the back.

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
