Artwork Description

When your world crumbles around you and darkness threatens to linger there's only one thing left...faith. A small yet powerful word that means so much to so many in different ways. For me faith is hope. Hope that things WILL get better, that there will be light ahead regardless of how lost I may feel in this moment.

Faith is everything that Fear is not. Fear asks "what if..." and conjures countless scenarios that lead to angst and anxiety. Faith assures "even if...". Even if I feel lost with no hope, there is hope. Even if I can't see past the darkness to light, there will be light. Even if my world continues to crumble and my heart continues to break, it won't last forever. Faith is a complete belief, trust and confidence in a life beyond the pain of this world and it's sufferings...I choose to remain hopeful. I choose faith over fear every time. I choose to look past the darkness for the light that's coming; faith assures me that hope is always to be found.

This expressive and moody land/seascape embodies my thoughts...light over darkness, faith over fear.
It's created with palette knives on artist quality stretched poly-cotton canvas and comes in a beautiful solid Tas Oak frame. It is satin varnished, and will also come with a COA.

Thank you for stopping to consider my work. I hope "Faith over Fear" inspires you to keep hoping, keep believing, keep looking forward to light - to hope - when darkness threatens.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone of my work which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space. Thank you!

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show.
