Artwork Description

Grace is one of those words that can have various definitions: "smooth and elegant movement.", "bringing honour by one's presence, attendance etc", or "a thank you blessing before partaking in a meal" but it's definition I love most and try to live by is "unmerited favour or good will when not deserved".

It's easy in this world to want to pay back those that hurt us, or wrong us. Giving grace to someone, walking away, forgiving them, moving forward, is a lot harder...but it brings the most reward. In the letting go of the hurts we're able to put pain behind us, move forward, and go with grace.

This soft and almost dreamlike seascape embodies all definitions and elements of grace for me. The smooth fine texture of the elegant linen, the movement of a breeze across the sky, the coast that allows our presence (despite the erosion and climate change we inflict upon it)...and a silent thank you heavenward for the wonder and majesty of our beautiful coastlines. Go with grace indeed.

Created with palette knives on 500 gsm stretched linen, it has been framed in a beautiful solid oak timber frame. It has been satin varnished to preserve the archival integrity of the artwork, and will come with a COA.

Thank you for considering my art for your space. I hope "Go With Grace" inspires and encourages you for years to come should you choose to give it a new home.

NB: While every effort is made to capture the true colours and details of my artwork, every screen is different and art viewed online does not do my work justice. Slight differences may be evident between a screen image and the true tone and textures of my work, which is more vivid and beautiful in reality. Scale may also be slightly off due to the insitu art app used, so please ensure you measure your space.

Artist Bio

“…painting stories evoking light and hope.”

Sharon Rynehart is an impressionist palette knife artist widely recognised for her flowing, expressive style of the sea, land and sky. A former Interior Designer and Colour Consultant, Sharon had health issues a while ago that saw her turn to painting for therapy and healing. Transforming her creative practice into what she now calls ‘heartwork’; emotive, hope-fuelled pieces inspired by faith, connective memory and experience, and the beauty of our Australian coastlines and landscapes. Sharon uses her background in colour theory to create original artworks with beautiful colour harmonies that allow you to reflect on your own story; to finish the train of thought, to remember a time or place, and to explore and feel the emotions they instill. Artworks that are relatable, that invite you to reflect, force an exhale, evoke a sense of calm…and bring you hope.

Sharon enjoyed recent success as a Finalist in Art to Art’s acclaimed “Unearthed” Art Prize, and has been fortunate to have several of her artworks featured on Channel 9’s “The Block” TV show. She has also had pieces featured in Grand Designs Australia Magazine. Sharon has gallery representation in both Brisbane and Melbourne and apart from these galleries, her works can be viewed in person tri-annually at the Affordable Art Fairs in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Now widely collected both in Australia and Internationally, Sharon’s pieces continue to resonate with many, inspiring calm and connection through an uplifting sense of place and emotion. They are a reminder to always look for light and hope…no matter the trials and challenges we all face.
