A journey implies a destination to eventually be reached. When the journey is of the heart it's not as straight forward...and most of the time we don't know where or when we'll reach the 'destination'. We encounter peaks and valleys through seasons of life, we wander wrong paths and find detours, all the while just trying to keep our head above water...to survive. But life is not just to be survived, because we all know it'll eventually end, life is to be enjoyed...cherished...treasured. When the we wake each day to a new sunrise I think all any of us ask for is to feel love and acceptance and find joy. And when it's time for the sun to set on that day I'd like to think I would've experience just a little of each of these. Each day is a journey...a heart journey to be lived.
This expressive seascape took me on such a heart journey just in it's creation. I loved bringing it to life, exploring light and shade, and finding little gems of colour and texture on the canvas. These colours I love, the subject I treasure, and on completion it brought me joy and happiness.
Created with palette knives on artist quality stretched cotton canvas, it is framed in natural Vic Ash, satin varnished, and comes with a COA.
